Hello Again!
It is about one month into the New Year. I am no longer the newest intern in the office, and Tax Season has officially begun!
I started off working on updating all the new clients’ information because we recently acquired a firm and as a result inherited their clients. That was something new which allowed me to learn about the administrative side of an accounting firm and what goes on behind the scenes which allows accountants to do their job more smoothly and efficiently.
I am currently working on pro formas. A pro forma is done when we gain a new client, and need to have their prior year return into our system. This allows things to run more smoothly when preparing their return for the current year.
I look forward to seeing what the rest of this busy season brings, and all of the challenges and new information that I will learn.
