Liz Costa, MSW, SHRM-CP
Liz became Stephano Slack’s first HR-dedicated employee when she joined the firm in 2019. She brings with her extensive experience in social work in the nonprofit sector, supporting multiple initiatives—from working on cancer patient services at the American Cancer Society to overseeing operations at an emergency shelter for female youth. Liz’s expertise in human behavior proves to be instrumental when she started her career in HR in 2014 in the corporate sector. She considers her addition to the Stephano Slack team an opportunity at professional growth and for the firm’s collective success.
Her passion for social service is one of Liz’s most admirable qualities. One of her greatest accomplishments is designing and executing the founding of The Suubi Center, a vocational school with social services for women in Southeastern Uganda in partnership with local Ugandan community members in 2014.
When not at work, Liz enjoys being a mom to Hallie with her husband Nick. Aside from cooking and baking for friends and family at their home in Media, PA, she also loves travelling, attending concerts, and having her heart broken regularly by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Liz earned her Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Boston University and her Master of Social Work in Community & Policy and Child & Family Welfare from Temple University, as well as a Certificate in Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Cornell Executive Education. She is a proud member of the Greater Valley Forge Human Resource Association.
