WAYNE, PA- JANUARY 15, 2019 – Stephano Slack, LLC, a leading regional accounting and consulting firm, recently announced the promotions of Ryan May and Matthew Kardish to senior accountant.

“Both Ryan and Matthew have been with the firm for three years and quickly assumed increased responsibility. They have proven their commitment to our clients,” said Michael J. Stephano, Managing Partner. “In addition, they consistently show they understand what matters most in business and in professional relationships. We look forward to their increased contributions to client service and to the firm.”

Both will be broadening their roles and increasing client interaction. They will now review staff work, lead engagements, train and on-board new staff.

“In my new role I hope to be an asset to the firm on the technical reviewing side, and be responsible for seeing engagements through from start to finish,” Kardish said. Having worked with Morgan Stanley and Haverford Trust prior to joining Stephano Slack, he brings solid audit and project lead experience to his new position as well as innate people skills. He serves as the Treasurer and Secretary at Bournelyf Special Camp in West Chester and is a member at Folds of Honor, Eastern PA/NJ Chapter where he helps raise funds to provide educational support and scholarships to spouses and children of America’s fallen and disabled service members. Kardish earned his B.S. in Management with a dual concentration in Finance and Accounting from Boston College.

“I’m looking forward to building my business development skills and to leading the next generation of Stephano Slack accountants. In addition, the firm’s commitment to continuous learning dovetails with my desire to learn something new every day,” May said. A former personal trainer, he brings excellent client relationship and project management skills in addition to strong accounting and tax knowledge. He is a member of the Chester County Emerging Leaders Committee where he coordinates networking events and educational seminars for business leaders and young professionals. May earned his B.S. in Accounting from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.
