As my final semester of college comes to an end, I’ve had a chance to reflect on all of the opportunities I have been given. I had prior internships, but Stephano Slack has been a unique challenge for me and I will always be grateful. One huge advantage Stephano has in comparison to my prior internships is that I genuinely feel like I have learned so much and am prepared for anything that comes my way. Using all the unique skills the firm has helped me develop, by the time college is over, I feel that I am prepared to hit the ground running. While working at Stephano Slack, I have been able to complete 1040s, proformas, and work on projects. This firm has been able to connect me closer to the tax industry which has given me more motivation to pursue a career in this field.
A regular day involves getting into the office in the morning, making a list of tasks, attending daily tax huddles, and then starting on projects and 1040s. One of the highlights thus far has been accidentally printing out a tax return which was 484 pages that Stan, Jenn, and Quigg thought was so funny. This firm has such a great group of people and makes me feel like I’m part of a family. No matter how many questions I ask Kayleen, Ryan or any of the tax managers and associates, they are always willing to help.
I am really looking forward to learn so much more and being able to work with people from Stephano Slack even further.
