Stephano Slack LLC Promotes Jay Brooks, CPA to Manager
WAYNE, PA— July 28, 2014 — Full-service accounting, tax, and advisory firm, Stephano Slack LLC, announced today the promotion of Jay Brooks, CPA, to manager.
Jay Brooks has worked at Stephano Slack since 2008. Brooks received his B.B.A. from the College of Business at James Madison University in 2009 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 2011. Brooks began his career as a summer intern for Stephano Slack. After graduation, he served as a staff accountant for three years before a promotion in 2012 to senior staff accountant.
“The most rewarding aspect of my time spent at Stephano Slack isn’t a specific experience, but the fact that I was able to begin working as an intern and was given the opportunity to rise through the ranks and become a manager,” said Brooks. “I think it is important to demonstrate to the rest of the staff that the firm values its employees and encourages promotion from within.”
Brooks is looking forward to the additional duties that come along with his promotion. “Whether it is managing staff or client engagements, the new responsibilities and opportunities they provide will allow me to further grow,” said Brooks. In five years he hopes to become a partner with the firm that has started and developed his career.
