• Richard B. Skinner

Conscientious and dependable, Richard understands the importance of his work to his clients’ success and the necessary level of confidence it provides to their key stakeholders.  His mission is to ensure smooth engagements and help clients meet their goals. As Manager in the Audit and Assurance practice, he takes the lead on client engagements and is responsive to client timeframes and inquiries. His technical expertise enables him to explain complicated rule changes in GAAP bulletins and help clients understand the impact on their business so they can plan as far in advance as possible.

He started his accounting career with a regional public accounting firm and later served as a controller in a private company, gaining valuable construction industry expertise.  Being intimately involved in sophisticated financial situations at the beginning of his career gave him better opportunity to perform more substantive accounting tasks than he would have had at a larger firm. It also enabled more direct client interaction, essential to understanding client needs and building successful business relationships.

Richard is a CPA and earned his B.S. in Accounting from Goldey-Beacom College in Wilmington. He is a member of the Delaware Society of Certified Public Accountants and enjoys participating in DCA and ABC association events. In his downtime, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children as well as the challenge of a good round of golf.
